Voice Club

This is a choir for singers with previous musical experience. The choir sings three projects per academic year, two projects with a cappella pop, gospel, jazz, musicals or and world music, and one project with classical music. Singers in this choir must have basic singing technique and music theory. There is also the possibility to sing solo and discover the star in you!

On December 19th, the choir will sing a-cappella pop at a Pop Christmas concert "A Swinging Christmas" at the Musikverein. On May 19th and 20th 2024, Gustav Mahler's 8th Symphony will be performed together with the other choirs in the Vienna Konzerthaus. In June 2024 a medley from the musical "Hair" will be sung.

In March 2023 a medley from “Jesus Christ Superstar” was sung in the concert series “Musicals and More”. In June 2023 Carl Orff‘s “Carmina Burana” was performed at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Previous projects were an African pop music concert „Concert du Continets“ and the Music of John Williams from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and more.

An audition is required which includes a sight reading test and voice check and there is an upper age limit till 33 years.
